I just read this article today.  I guess I have a hard time digesting what they mean.  You guys do talk a lot about it.  I’m still learning!

I’d definitely have to agree with this article and as much as I want to treat my boys like my kids, I have to fight to maintain the pecking order. Things as small as daily kennel time, do wonders for their attitudes.

I have a hard time with that.  17 years of cats never prepared me for having to be dominant; cats care nothing about a pack (rather, they plot the other cat’s demise so that they will one day have you all to themselves), only manners & etiquette.  My cat is at least as obedient as any of my dogs, but she thrives on all kids of delicate, indirect cues.  Switching to Bitchmommy is a pretty huge leap.  I forget all the time.  And so I end up with a 60lb crybaby who won’t get off the bed unless carried.
