Madeline’s reluctant to sit & her tail is constantly down.  It does wag but only a little & it remains hanging down.  The wag is a little better today than it was yesterday.  Her tail becomes significantly thicker in the top 6” so I’m wondering if that is swelling at the 6” mark.

Should I take her to the vet?  Is her tail wagging threatened?  Should I ice pack her?  sick

Don’t think you should worry about it too much. I’d try to keep her from banging on things when she’s excited, but other than that, I’d think it’ll fix itself in short time.

Ok, I hope so!  Today she seems to have better mobility; she can definitely wag her tail but it remains hanging down.  I’m sure Jack & Chie are enjoying not having their faces whacked all the time.

I would be heartbroken if Madeline couldn’t wag her tail.  I mean, it’s part of Who She Is.

Update October 16: Madeline’s tail seems to be almost better; she’s wagging happily, just not as high as before.  Hopefully it’ll get back up to Potted Plant Weedwhacking level soon.
